Travel by train indeed lends the much needed sense of a journey to any destination.
@ Roha station –
There is a feeling of getting off in to nature’s green cushion as the platform is covered with swaying green grass, some plants and trees too. The monsoon has indeed converted a concrete platform into a green lawn.
@ Suraveen Resort , Ratnagiri –
My meeting for the day is over. Train –bus- bus – and train again later. As I sit here at the beach staring at the sea, it feels like I am on a tired vacation. The beach sets the perfect mood for a vacation but the mind is tired of the travel, the meeting & the up-coming travel & meetings.
What can really make the hot afternoon a little pleasant, is a happy cheerful smiling waiter.
Mr. Smiley: Good afternoon Madam. Kitne log hain?
Me: Koi nahi hai yaar. Main akeli hoon.
Mr. Smiley: Lunch?
Me: Nahi Nahi. Kuch peene ke liye??
Mr. Smiley: Snacks?
Me: Menu leke aao.
(Mr. 🙂 brings the menu)
Me: Ek watermelon juice. Sugar mat dalna … aur ek mineral water. Thanda Nahi.
After finishing the juice and while I am typing this:
Mr. Smiley: Glass leke jaau?
Me: Haan yeh wala. Yeh doosra rehne do.
Mr. Smiley: Madam – paani dalu?
Me: Nahi Nahi. Thank you
After all this overdose of smiles, and thank you’s – I leave behind a handsome tip and a giggling waiter.
